Got AppleCare+? Broken iPhone Screen is No Longer an Issue

When I buy a smartphone, I want it to be with me till I go six feet under. Just kidding. But seriously, smartphones cost a lot and to be honest, anyone paying so much for a luxury like iPhone expects, and rightly so, nothing less than a couple of stress-free years, let alone me. But when something not in my plan happens, like my screen shattering to pieces similar to Tom Berenger’s mind in Shattered, I’m only faced with 2 options: either I could get it fixed and pay load upfront or buy a new iPhone and pop even more.
Let’s be honest, who am I kidding here? Neither of the options are okay for a guy who just spent a fortune on a phone just two months ago. Similar issues have always been haunting users. Not anymore though. If you have AppleCare+, getting your screen fixed gets as low as $29. That’s like 70% off!
Recently, Apple announced that AppleCare+ customers, who had to pay at least $79 for a new screen and $99 for a plus-sized screen, can now get their screens fixed for less than 30 bucks, provided they have iPhone 6 or a later model.
I would like to remind readers here that AppleCare+ does cost $129, but the benefits, to me, far exceed the price because for $129, this plan covers you for two years of warranty and up to two repairs within the subscription period. For those who don’t have this plan, the charges of fixing a regular screen alone costs the price of subscription, that is, $129. And for a plus-sized screen, you may have to pay about $149.
In such a case, the better option will be to pay a visit to an iPhone repair service provider. Third party iPhone service providers can get it done under $100 in most cases and if you got an iPhone older than 6, then it’s an even more viable option. I for one don’t like being thrown back to the Renaissance Era because I can’t wait days to get my hands back on my phone.

But honestly, if you do have an iPhone 6 or newer phone, coupled with AppleCare+, opting for official iPhone repair service is the saner choice.

Galaxy Note 7 Carnage – What Can You Do About It?

Galaxy Note 7, the $900-a-piece explosive, is all over the news for its ability to, well, blow to kingdom come. Even the manufacturing company, Samsung, has taken a notice of this… anomaly and has finally decided to recall the units summing up to a staggering 2.5 mil. Here are the details of what caused Galaxy Note 7s, released 15th September and prior, to go boom and what your options are regarding this colossal mess.
We wish Samsung took out some time to answer these questions earlier, but for many customers, it’s still not too late. Samsung UK has recently posted a QA section addressing questions about 7 and what caused the phones to celebrate early 4th of July.
Now, Samsung has posted a Q&A section on its UK news portal where it announced the Galaxy Note 7 where it explained what the issue is. According to Samsung’s investigation, it turns out to be an issue with the phone’s battery cell and according to the manufacturer, has nothing to do with the phone. Isn’t that a sign of relief? This means that if you can just get a new battery from an iPhone & Samsung Accessories supplier for your running Note 7, your phone can be safe once again. Samsung further says the overheating and then the subsequent explosion issue was a result of electrodes coming into contact, which, rest assured, is a very rare manufacturing issue.
And since it’s only limited to Note 7s, owners of S7, S7  Edge and others don’t have to be worried about anything at all, since each model has a different design and goes through different manufacturing process. S7 owners can use their phones free from any sort of tension. If the phone does exhibit an issue post-warranty period, users can always buy parts from reliable iPhone & Samsung Accessories store.
It still remains unclear if Samsung itself was the sole entity responsible for this train wreck since company says they collaborate with various supplier to stay abreast with demands. With that said, Samsung nailed the coffin saying customers are always on top of their priority list and that they’re doing everything possible to make sure customer satisfaction is met.

My take on all this? If you have Note 7, the best bet for you is to have it changed with a new Note 7. You can contact your vendor or contact Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG for a through guidance on how to have it replaced. You can also get a battery from a vendor that supplies iPhone & Samsung Accessories, but like I said, getting a new phone is always a better option. Also, if you haven’t bought a phone Note 7, it’s better to pass this one and go for an S7 or an iPhone 7 instead. These are by far, more reliable than Note 7 and iPhone & Samsung Accessories are also easier to find compared to Note 7 which is already being called back. One final suggestion will be to go for S7 or S7 Edge in case of replacement because yes, Samsung is allowing that so it’s great to get something that’s proven to be reliable than Note 7.

Business Website – Your Ticket to Beat the Competition

Out of all the key weapons you can deploy against your competition in this cold digital world, the biggest line of defense would be your business website features. Why, because let’s face it, your site is the first thing your customer lands onto. A website, with all its necessary upgrades and features is the best way to not only defend your clientele, but also aggressively pursue new clients.

Just imagine; a user in need of an urgent solution to his broken kitchen sink lands onto a site, your site, and browses through the pages one by one, until he completes his journey and reaches the final chapter of his journey, the contact us page. That is where your site lands the final blow and urges him to take action, to make the call with a promise of instant solution.

See!? A well-crafted journey just made you looks like a hero and you can bet that customer is going to type your URL in the address bar every time he’ll face the same problem. And that’s not the only thing a site can do for you.

1. Small business thrive on websites and coupled with right combination of fonts, white spaces, content and of course, a touch of on-page and off-page SEO, you can have visitors returning to your site every time. Forget that, they may even bring in a couple of new ones eventually. Building business in the digital world has never been easier.

2. Blog is also a must-have business website feature. An integrated blog that connects with your users is an excellent way to make them stick. Carefully planned and executed content has the power to connect since it’s designed with the reader in mind. With the right promotion, you’re bound to get a followership that is only going to amplify your credibility and also your revenue stream.

3. I happened to come across a fact that only 34% of businesses are leveraging the power of a website. Have a look at it another way; you get yourself a site and you’ve already surpassed 66% of the competition. That’s two-third of competition left behind with just one business website. Talk about business website features, the existence of the website is what matters the most matters the most.

4. Earlier on in the post, I mentioned a bit about content, but I never mentioned how important it can be as a business website feature. With the right content, not only will you be able to help the customer, you will also be able to make the most out of it and establish yourself as a force to be reckoned with within the industry. Give them the content they want, and they’ll turn your faces to you every time they get stuck.

5. Advertisement and promotion can be a ripper. When you’re already cutting corners to make the ends meet, the sound of advertisement dollars feels very unpleasant. But that is where your site makes the save. When any of these business website features start getting traffic, you can use your site as a medium to push your brand. A good site that has credibility can be an unmatchable source for advertisement. You can advertise your brand the way you want. And the best part is, exposure is pretty much guaranteed since it’s your business website.

With all this and more, it's really a no-brainer why the existence of a website is so important to raise the bar for competition and to make your brand shine.
