5 Simple Tips on Keywords For Better SEO

When you are planning to create your own website, the most important thing to consider is your site’s content because weather you are writing a blog post or any other content, the main thing you want is to get found over internet and bring on site traffic.

Websites are founded over the objective of attracting traffic. But there will be no traffic is the site’s SEO is lackluster and this includes poor research and/or optimization of keywords.

Keyword research is an important element of SEO for those wishing to get ranked over search engines. We know that millions of people are searching for information. From an SEO’s perspective we need to understand search intent of our target audience as right keyword can help you gain revenues. Why? Because 80% of total online transactions are a result of keyword search.

Getting started and doing some keyword research prior to writing content will save your time and help you come-up with engaging content that brings more traffic to your place.

Add Keywords in Title

Title is something that speaks for it and creating a title for your blog post/content that strategically optimizes keywords will help you get found over search engines easily (take notes viewer). Make sure your title looks all natural and not too stuffed with keywords and still is motivating.

For instance, your keyword is ‘free online website’ and you are intended to share some tips that tells some facts people should know when creating a website online. Your topic could be: 5 do knows before using free online website builders

Limit Use of More Keywords

The best way to increase traffic on your blog or your website is to avoid using more than 3 keywords, some experts recommend using just one or two right key words will get the job done because using too many keywords will make your content look cluttered and can be marked spammed by search engines.

Diffuse Keywords throughout Your Content

Try to optimize your keywords not just in title alone but throughout your content, but avoid keyword stuffing because it distracts the reader. If your content is around 400 words, optimizing your keywords two to three time is enough and effective.

Hyperlink Your Keyword

SEO experts are of belief that search engines, especially Google, stress more on hyperlinked text than text without any links, so using a link on your keyword or just beside it, in your content maintaining relevancy will help you rank on SEO in lesser time than with non-linked keywords.

Use Alt-Text

When you upload images on your blog post and along content you can use them to your advantage by adding alternate text for the image that appears when you take your mouse pointer over image. This alt-text make is easy for Google bot to find you as a result of related information search because search engine crawlers are unable to read the images. Try coming up with keywords that are related to images or try adding images that are relating your keywords.

Tried all of these tips already but still no result? You could be making one of these web designing mistakes that kill your SEO you know? If you’re making these mistakes, it’s probably time to make amends while things are still under control.

Are You Worried Why Your Website is Not Ranking?

Top SEO hacks that you need to consider

In my previous post, I’ve discussed the importance of why content is one of the key elements for a website to shine. The next most important element is how you are doing your website’s SEO.

Website designing is challenging because it alone is not enough. Just imagine what is a use of a beautiful website when its audience reach is low?

When we talk about generating leads, brining traffic and phrases like that, search engine optimization is something that comes to our mind.

Let’s look into SEO from the perspective of a website design and how you can easily get your website on a better rank over search engines.

SEO-Search Engine Optimization

SEO is the second most crucial element in website design after content. Like you need strong advertising strategies to get your customers aware of your upcoming product, SEO works the same way in the world of internet to get you ‘in the know’ of people round the globe.

  • Avoid Keyword Stuffing

Long gone are days when keyword stuffing can do the optimization job well. You need to strategically optimize keyword that you want to rank on. Focus on using one keyword or topic in headings, images, text and titles on each page because the pages that clearly show what they’re about are ranked high on search engines.

  • Optimized loading time

This might sound strange but Google has some empathy for sites with optimized loading time. There are various tools available online that can speed up your website’s loading time. Who don’t want their website design to be swift enough to load in just the blink of an eye, especially when this optimized loading time can also help you gain SEO points?

  • Focus on Locals

Local search is now considered an important element for SEO. It is important to get your site listed on all local directories as well on Google Places because this will help you appear in search results when users is looking for contact information and directions.

So until now, keyword optimization has mainly been considered the gist of search engine optimization, however, other elements of a website like its design are also important when it comes to rank-up your website on search engines.

The closer you get to the top page, the tougher competition gets, so you have to make sure everything is playing its part in helping your site reach the top.

20 Little but Important Things about Web Designing – Part 2

20 Little but Important Things about Web Designing – Part 2

Okay, so in the last installment of this post, I stressed on a few points that may appear as trivial, but they are in fact, very important in terms of designing. Here is a recap.

1. Saving time and effort by taking inspirations form others,
2. Optimizing line height,
3. Not sticking to a single font,
4. Optimizing column width, and
5. Using color science to optimize colors.

Here are more of those little but important things that matter in web designing.

6. Adding lines to make design uncomplicated

Adding lines can be tremendously helpful if you have a design that focuses more on text. Adding a line can help you with the fonts and give a positive feel about the whole design.

7. Priorities, priorities

Coming up with a hierarchy always makes things easier. Know what matters the most, the headline, the logo or anything else. When you know which element is the most important in your design, it becomes easier to set it apart from the rest of the elements.

8. Smart reuse of elements

UX has to stand out from the rest, but it doesn’t have to lose its touch with consistency in doing so. Smartly reusing the same fonts, colors and elements keeps things consistent and reduces the amount of work. Use it to your advantage.

9. White space doesn’t hurt

Majority of beginning designers feel empty white space is always something bad and try to fill that space up with unnecessary elements. More white space doesn’t hurt; but unnecessary content does.

10. Grouping Related Elements

It pays well to group similar elements together and it also happens to be one of the better practices in the world of web designing.

There are many website builders like glu7 and squarespace that allows you to design a desirable website for your  business. So this was the continued part of our previous post, for the next Part 3 visit us next week.

20 Little but Important Things about Web Designing – Part 1

Are you scratching your head because you are confused between hiring a pro web designer and doing it yourself? Or have you done it yourself already and are now thinking if it really gives out that professional look?

Wherever you are, just relax and read-out these points. Understanding that all the points can be too much to stomach at once, I have decided to break it into 4 parts. This is the first part.

The following are some of the little things that will give your DIY site the finishing look a pro designer gives.

1. Steal like an Artist

Even Steve Jobs acknowledged there is no shame in copying! What matters is that you should be able to blend the inspirations optimally. Referring to professional designs lets you focus more on details that matter to your website, saving your time and effort to rebuild everything from scratch.

2. Optimize line height

Optimally, line is kept at 1.6 so if things aren’t consistent in your design block, just select the font in pixels – which is 1.0 by default – and multiply it by 1.6.

3. Don’t stick to a single font

Use a set of 2 different fonts that work well together if you’re a beginner. It creates a contrasting flavor to your design.

4. Optimize your column width

Column’s width should be based on the nature of site and the page. 55-60 characters are optimum.

5. Coloring your website

There is a whole science behind colors and how they effect a design, and you can read out this post from the blog of glu7: freewebsite builder, but if you’re confused, just go with black and white.

There you go. 5 essential elements to give you head start in designing your own webpage. More is on the way. Be sure to visit this blog the next week.
